I...I have to disagree with most of Your ascertions. I will agree that a shorter statured fighter has a lower center of gravity. I have to call you out on some of your other points. A taller fighter in my opinion has many advantages in a fight including reach, speed and overall athleticism. I speak on this point from personal experience. I've never been a trained fighter in any discipline but have been in a couple dozen fights if I had to make a quick estimate. I stand at 6'1" and weigh about 170 now but was up to about 200 when I was younger and in the gym every Day. I've always been lanky and use to get my balls busted for it but having a wingspan of about 6'5" has really helped me out in many fights I've been in. I have won fights against guys that outweighed me by 100 lbs. I always could stay away from my opponent and move around and soften them up with a jab and close it out with a hook or a cross. Also, being lanky helped many times when I swept their legs with a quick leg kick that I could pull off from a few feet away. I guess when it comes down to it a good fighter can be either tall or short. If you have the heart and the skills it really doesn't matter your size. You just need the will and the heart to pull it off!!Lankyhttp://123.orgnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1540643628218431638.post-18979484945355652312016-04-21T00:18:49.847+08:002016-04-21T00:18:49.847+08:00mike tyson was short for a heavyweight.

Another thing I would add is when a shorter man lifts weights/weight trains it's easier to lift with slightly shorter limbs and strength gains come more easily than a tall scrawny man;) it also goes hand in hand with your speed/agility making you more effective at whatever you do whether it's fighting, football, baseball, ect. I'be been lifting for years now and it's never stopped paying off its a must for any shorter man who just wants to be at the top of his game or deter any would-be bully or antagonist Blainehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02241124050328990065noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1540643628218431638.post-66915272092914648402014-03-01T00:36:52.110+08:002014-03-01T00:36:52.110+08:00If you only knew how much my son needed to read th...If you only knew how much my son needed to read this. I lean towards the tall end of the stick and the shorter guys toss me around easily.

Sure, when I throw someone, they travel high and it's a long way to fall, but I sure have to get down there to break the balance point. I think throwing is less forgiving for taller artists. I imagine you've considered this in writing your book.

Having tussled with a variety of folks or all shapes and sizes, I can say that shorter people tend to be stronger pound for pound than taller ones.
